Bitcoin for Fairness (BFF) Zambia team and Bitcoin Banamayo Community in Zambia will take part in Africa Bitcoin Day today in Lusaka, Zambia. Africa Bitcoin Day is a continent-wide celebration of the Bitcoin adoption in Africa.
Africa Bitcoin Day will take place simultaneously in dozens of African countries on the same day with activity spanning from meetups, to discussion panels, film screenings, sports, canvassing, neighborhood tour, beach parties among others. In Zambia, the day will involve street bitcoin education that will take place along Cairo Road, one of the busiest roads in Lusaka.
BFF is a non-profit initiative raising knowledge and understanding of Bitcoin for people in emerging countries and for disadvantaged people. The initiative was founded by Anita Posch, bitcoin educator, author and podcaster.
Bitcoin Banamayo Community is a new bitcoin education initiative targeting women in Zambia. The project idea came as a result of monthly bitcoin meetups in Zambia organised by BFF.
