Bitcoin For Fairness Involvement
In 2023, we successfully connected Gridless with a micro-hydro power station in Bondo, Malawi, built by Mount Mulanje Conservation Trust, a local group trying to protect the mountain region’s unique biodiversity. Gridless is now mining Bitcoin there with excess power and covering the running costs of the operation of the power station that is providing electricity to thousands of villagers and businesses in the area. A proof of work for Bitcoin as a tool enabling progress and improving the quality of life for residents.
