On July 9, 2022, the first Bitcoin-only meetup will take place in Gweru, Zimbabwe. Gweru is a city in the central of Zimbabwe. It’s the third largest city in Zimbabwe with a population of more than 200,000 people.
The meetup is sponsored by Bitcoin for Fairness (BFF). BFF is a non-profit initiative raising knowledge and understanding of bitcoin for people in emerging countries and for disadvantaged people.
BFF was founded by Anita Posch, a Bitcoin advocate, educator, podcaster, and the author of (L)earn Bitcoin – Become Financially Sovryn.
The event comes after the first Bitcoin-only meetup in Bulawayo supported by Bitcoin for Fairness that took place on June 11th, 2022. BFF is currently running bitcoin education meetups in both Zimbabwe and Zambia.
