Every year brings new challenges, exciting projects, and unforgettable moments. In these yearly review articles, Anita Posch shares the biggest milestones month by month, personal highlights, learnings, and goals for the year ahead. These reflections provide transparency and a chance to celebrate the progress we’re making together. Let’s take a look at the past years and see how Bitcoin continues to make a difference!
2025
Bitcoin for Fairness spent 2025 building real Bitcoin adoption across Africa—from Cape Town to Lusaka, Harare to Maputo. This year brought keynote speeches at major conferences, hands-on workshops in rural communities, and the launch of circular economies where people actually use Bitcoin for daily life. They supported grassroots initiatives with micro-grants, ran developer meetups, and awarded scholarships to educators across 33 countries.
2024
In 2024, Bitcoin for Fairness focused on empowering local leaders through Bitcoin education, including conducting workshops and hands-on training in Africa. BFF ran donation demos to support human rights initiatives and tested Bitcoin wallets in remote areas to check accessibility of self-custody. Our work aimed to build stronger Bitcoin adoption, provide financial freedom, and address the unique challenges faced by communities worldwide.
2023
In 2023, BFF focused on expanding Bitcoin adoption through education and advocacy, including launching the Crack the Orange program and speaking at key Bitcoin events. Anita made significant contributions to global Bitcoin communities, particularly through her podcast, where she connected with Bitcoiners worldwide to share knowledge and insights. BFF also worked on various projects supporting human rights, with a strong emphasis on Bitcoin's potential to drive financial sovereignty, especially in underbanked regions like Africa.
2022
In 2022, Bitcoin for Fairness focused on bringing Bitcoin education to communities in Africa, helping people gain more financial freedom. We held workshops and talks in countries like Zimbabwe and Zambia, supporting local projects and women-led initiatives. The year was all about sharing knowledge, building stronger global connections within the Bitcoin community, and empowering people to take control of their own finances.
