Spotlight: The Luis Vinho Skate Park
One of the most exciting initiatives so far was the meetup held at Luis Vinho Skate Park, home of Maputo Skate & Education. This unique event brought together young skaters, instructors, and local vendors to learn about how Bitcoin can be used in daily life. The goal was to kickstart a local Bitcoin circular economy, where people can earn, spend, and save using Bitcoin – starting right in their own neighborhood.
Workshops combined with skate sessions created a great atmosphere where learning felt natural and fun. The initiative helped spark interest not only in Bitcoin, but also in broader ideas of financial empowerment, independence, and inclusion.
